All injectors would be faulty at once? I have felt and heard one or perhaps two sticking, but all 4 would lead to an ECU issue.

My VIII was running poorly just off idle, for a while (maybe a month or 2) and did not turn on the CEL, I originally thought it was the EGR valve stuck, but after cleaning that it still ran the same.

A few days after cleaning the EGR valve, it finally lit the CEL, and it ended up being, 201 and 301 I think (misfire and injector circuit)

It ended up being the resistor pack.

mine looked just like the one pictured here.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...1-misfire.html

one of the wires was broken off just like in the picture. I ordered a new resistor pack, I had some silicone laying around so I sealed the terminals on the resistors so they wouldn't rust and fall off again.

Car runs like a champ now.

I know this thread is coming back from the dead .... right about.... now.

There were 2 injectors that were clogged/bad. That was the only issue. I got some FIC injectors and EsEvo (Evan) from this board got me taken care of and I got retuned the same night. Thanks for all the help in the thread!

find out if its the injectors or plugs.
i recently upgraded plugs, COP only to realize that it was clogged up injectors. i just put in those "cleaner things" in my gas. problem solved.

Haha thank you for the input, and you were correct it was the Injectors lol. You posted after I found the solution though.

This happened to me just recently. I changed the plugs, wires, coil pack boots. Gapped at .22, still getting a misfire every now and then. Sometimes it even dies after I started it up, not throwing any codes either.

Now if I try the injector cleaner it should work?

Assuming that is your engine's problem and assuming the cleaner works the answer is yes.

BTW, injector cleaner is harsh chemicals. It is not something you should be dumping in with every fillup. Use it once a year.

Problem solved, Injector cleaner worked wonders. It's been 2 days since I got the misfire. The only thing that bugs me is that these injectors are new, I installed them about 5 months ago. With the stock injectors I've never had to do this....

I used Lucas also, however the dreaded misfire came back. I swapped out the fuel pump, still misfiring. So I started to install my gauges and I noticed a vacuum hose was hanging, found out it was from the stock fuel pressure regulator. Plugged it back in and the misfire was gone.
