brake help

Just installed hawk HP plus pads, but I'm getting very loud squealing from the driver side only. I've put the lubricant (plenty of it) but still getting very loud squeal. Also the shimes have arrows on them, which way are the arrows suppose to go?
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated

iirc the arrow should face the front, you might have that pad with the shims in backwards...?? my hps are noisy at times, there also dusty pad so maybe built up brake dust is causin it...?? Did you turn the rotors or replace them when puttin them on?

Arrows should be pointing the same way the wheel rotates while moving forward.

the arrows can only face up or down. Put the pads on last week. Didnt do anything to the rotors.

Pads probably haven't seated yet probably. I have 10K on my pads/rotors and it stopped squealing while braking going forward after a few hundred miles... but when I back up (when they're cold), they squeal like crazy

that's the issue, the passenger side is fine, no noise, but the driver side is driving me crazy

I'm sure Hawk makes very good products. But, their pads on the brakes that come on our cars are noisy. Sorry.

I have the same pads, and it only makes noise when it cold then it goes away.
