It is a bolt on affair, nothing crazy. Just be sure to put in new fluid and bleed it.

How do you flush the fluid out? My 3 lights have been on for like 4 months now.

Yes, I would be interested in knowing this as well. Seems like such a common problem of the acd pump failing that you would think their would bean aftermarket replacement part or rebuild kit. Whoever figures out an inexpensive repair will be rolling in the $$.

An inexpensive fix would be to just buy a used one, there are plenty out there. Also, like someone else mentioned, make sure that you have enough fluid first and foremost.

Are any of you driving on tarmac, covered in gravel, covered in snow?

Be advised... my contributions to society are largely on the level of useless.

Me lol. Weird thing is my issue have something to do with the wiring of some sort. I got a code 82 (pump failure) but it still works when the weather is cold (70 and below), but then sometimes it wouldn't.

My ACD pump started making strange noises after I drove through high water a few months ago. I wonder if it's damaged? These pumps seem to go out before 100k miles for a lot of people. Would be great if someone could dissect this unit and figure what is failing prematurely.

search around here, its been done. if i recall basically they are just not sealed well and corrode to **** inside. i believe a company in the UK rebuilds them and/or sells necessary parts.

ACD should be bled with the mitsu tester. But if you don't it's a two person thing.... Just don't run the pump low or you might burn it out..

Mine is doing the same thing. I got a code 82 but it just work when it wants to. It was 65 earlier when I left the house, went 20 miles with it working perfectly. But as soon as the temp outside reach 80-90, bam, all lights come on.

Here's the how to to get the ACD code:
Get a paper clip and use it to bridge pins 1&4 on your obd
(diagnostics plug) as you sit in the driver seat its in front of your right knee,
when the paper clip is in place turn the key on (dont start the car)
if there are no faults codes the 3 acd lights will flash rapidly.

and if there is fault codes, the 3 lights will flash slower
for example fault code 65

there will be 6 long flashes slight pause followed by 5 short flashes,
simply count the long flashes as 10 : 6x10=60
and the short flashes as 1 : 5x1 = 5
together that's code 65

there may be more than one code.

here are the acd/abs fault codes

I had the very same problem,
It turned out I had an unstable connection between couple of pins in the ignition circuit. It was also causing the ABS light to come on. I think that was a code 65.
