They aren't bad. They are good cams, but not as aggressive as the GSC S2's. They sound nice as well. They are the older set as HKS has a newer set of cams and no longer makes the 272's. I have a set for sale if you want them, great condition for cheap

Antiquated. They do work, used to have them on my 2003 Evo VIII and made OK power. It is now 2011. Get GSC S2 cams, you will make much more power, no other cam choice is close.

Yes. Depending on lift profiles (as each cam is different), springs (and sometimes) retainers are needed.

It really depends on your goals for the car... IMO GSC S2s are the best all around for average evos. Unless you're planning on running a huuuge turbo with a built motor.

But for most applications the S2s are the best bang for the buck... don't go with BC's, I've talked to a bunch of people who used them and said they want to upgrade to GSC cams instead
