Choosing camshafts !! HELP!!

272 IN / 264 ? whats good about running different ones? 272 as in and 264 as exhaust.

and also buddyclub 272 IN / 264 are they any good?

i've got springs, retainers, camgears just trying to choose a set of nice cams. i have currently got a GT3037 turbo with external gate. and looking at getting forged pistons and rods(standard sizes) aswell..

i want something with abit of lumpyness =P but not too rough on the street.. wanting something thats good throughout the whole rev range.(especially before boost kicks as full boost kicks at 4100rpm..

thanks guys..

Don't go with the buddyclubs. Take a look at the GSC S2's. They will make good power.

to be honest man, you dont wanna stagger your setup with a 272/264 combination youll get better low end response, but can choke off power at higher rpms, these guys all made good suggestions imo go s2's as well. Swapping my hks 272 cams to s2 cams, now granted a few other parts added at the same time, midrange and top end is a night and day difference between the cams. Go with the s2s because at least you can up yourself in power, without the chance of the cams bottlenecking the airflow in and out of the engine. s2's are also on some of the higher hp cars out there, thus any turbo or even stock can be improved in power under the curve with it. Plus you want lope, well let me tell ya some lope with the old school hks 272 cams, these s2's have a huge race car brapp brapp brapp brapp brapp.....haha
good luck and spend the money right the first time.

I went with the S2's and was very happy with my choice. I would also look into valve springs if your gonna decide on them.
