Checked for a blown fuse,....now the car wont start?????????????????Please help
Good day fellas, long story short. I have a HID fog light out. I switched the bulb and the converter box for the passenger side fog light, and still the fog light wont light up. So I figured that it might be a blown fuse. I opened the fuse cover under the hood and pulled every fuse in the box. I even pulled the small black box on the right side of the fuse box (little did I know that it was the ECU BOX)
All the fuses were fine. I then went to start the car, it started right up and then it choked and chugged for 10 seconds or so then killed. Started it like that 2 more times and the same thing. Now the car just turns over with no fire at all. The car has been running better than ever, including one hour prior to this happening. The one thing I do notice is that I don't hear the fuel pump anymore when I am turning the car over. I have the Walboro fuel pump so it is a noticeable "hummmm" when turning the car over prior to this . All opinions and help are greatly appreciated in advance. Have a great day.
Cheers, Rick

Rick...
1. Was the battery disconnected when you checked (pulled) these fuses? How about when you put them back in?
2. I would start by disconnecting your negative battery cable, and going through the fuses 1 by 1 starting with the fuel pump and examining it carefully. Sometimes a fuse can blow without being very noticeable, and the symptoms you're describing are indicative of a non operable fuel pump.

Hello and thanks for your reply,
1) No I did not disconnect the battery. OOPS. Lesson learned.
2) I have checked the fuses 3 times after this happened. I still see no blown fuse.
Could you please let me know where the fuel pump fuse is? The diagram on the fuse box in the engine area is horrible!! No description at all of what the fricken fuses are for.
Maybe I blew a fuse in the cabin? Maybe I tripped the immobilizer for my factory alarm? I am stumped.

1. I'm not positive where the fuse is for the pump tbph (off the top of my head at least). But you CAN yank the back seat and using a voltage reader, see if the pump is receiving any power?
2. I'm sure someone will have a fuse diagram for your vehicle. Which model Evo is it (specifically)?
Year, Trim. (Nm... I see it in your profile. 2005 MR)
Good luck m8, I hate electrical issues.
