Trust me, all the negativity towards the car goes away as soon as you get it. People will talk **** until they see you get out of it somewhere.

Of course not and welcome, by the way.

I found it funny that you felt the need to post a thread in defense of a car you haven't purchased yet.

take it from me as well as a few of the other senior evo owners left on this forum. more then likely we wont be getting rid of the our cars anytime soon. what does that tell you ?
thanks for the advice

Anyone you know well enough to care about their opinion you'll be able to take for a ride. After that, I guarantee they will love your car. When I had my Evo picked out the first thing a friend of mine said was "You're buying THAT?! What's that thing on the hood?" Then I took her for a ride just down the street to the grocery store. When we were leaving the store, she was begging for the keys to drive home

to be honest man, its your money do with it what you want? let those pos people that are trying to detour you from buying what you want? they probably have slow cars, now just so you know ahead of time, you want your future evo to last do maintenance on it at the right intervals, not gonna lie cars not cheap by any means, but if you take care of it 100-200k maybe more is possible. Just so you know ive had some people talk trash on my evo, with there hondas nissans some domestics etc, and most people that talk trash have nothin more then an intake and exhaust haha, so i usually shut them the fu*k up after a few pulls or then the excuses come out haha...

Welcome. I would agree, don't let anyone put you off from the car you want. It's real hard to top an evo for out of the box performance or it's potential. However it's also a very good daily driver/bad weather car. Many times I have seen people stuck in the snow as I drive right on by. He'll I've even had it in some nasty *** off road mud.

They dont look at the potential the car has performance wise. To them its a fart can pos. It really annoys me and whats worse is when someone suggests I buy an infiniti over an evo, come on now. It dosent help that I am young either, because people think im buying the car because it "looks good", when really im putting my time in to learn as much about the car as I can, and I'm talking another 6 months in research before I purchase. This ignorance annoys me. Did any of you guys experience this as well ??
You seem upset.
