While I do agree with some of the posts, I wont be a complete douche. There is plenty of thread on this forum about making 400whp. On a dynojet, it can be done with stock 9 turbo, intercooler, fuel pump, injectors, exhaust and the basics.

The main thing is a tune. Find someone relatively close to you, or someone that does remote tuning and talk to them. You tuner will help you along the way to get those power goals.

I feel your excitement to wanna jump into modding right away. I mean, the last time I drove a bone stock evo........boring lol. The car felt like a turd.

But do some looking around on the forums and get an idea of what kind of budget you have. That will GREATLY affect your partlist lol.

Also, if your looking to make that power on stock 9 turbo. You might consider looking into e85. How easy is it to get where you are? It will be much easier to make that 400+whp with e85 on a stock turbo.

You probably would have learned more from reading the stickies and general browsing around on the forums than from reading the replies to this thread.

Just sayin'.

PS 13.7 sounds pretty good for your first time in a stock evo. what was your 60' time?

I ran 8.5 on the 1/8 mile with my Evo when it was stock, not sure what that is on the 1/4 mile.

85% ethanol fuel. Its basically "race fuel" at the pump....kinda lol. Avg 103-105 octane, ive been told.

Its an alternative fuel, google it, you will find plenty about it. Since you dont know of it, im guessing there might not be any around you lol.

That equals out to about a high 12 or low 13.

Most people will do 13s varying from high to low. Magazines typically have produced high-12s to mid-13s.

There's a video of Best Motoring driving a stock Evo IX MR RS (JDM only) through the quarter in 12.6 or 12.7, though admittedly that model is a bit lighter than ours (at least by 100 pounds) and probably has another 10-15 hp more than USDM Evos.

Congrads on the evo. I hope you are enjoying it. 13.7 is pretty good I think for first time. I would suggest learning how your car behaves at stock level before modding. Less power is way more forgiving when it comes to mistakes.

Dont forget, if you plan on hitting that 400awhp mark your clutch may not be able to take it. Be prepared to shell out that cash for a performance one.

I went 13.7@99mph on wastegate pressure and stock. 1.82 sixty foot. I got a MBC now spiking and holding 1.3 bar to redline. I'm pretty sure I could get a high 12 with the way it sits. It launches even harder than before.

Hey man hit me up when it comes time for a tune or if you need advice on an upgrade path. I live in Ontario, I have the cable, evoscan to log with and ecuflash. I've tuned a few EVO's and just got my buddy setup on alt maps (pump/E85) with Tephra V7 mods. I can even have my buddy take you for a ride in his EVO IX that I helped tune on E85 so you can feel the potential. Once you start running E85 you'll never want to put pump gas in your car again. That's all I run in my DSM. I was at Fontana last weekend as well in my red 1G talon running low 11's.

Watch out with that sticker, I personally know a few SRT's that will destroy a 13 second EVO (once they get traction of course)

I would disagree with this part of your statement. A proper 1.6 60 foot launch will get you low 13's. An RS will hit a 12.9 if you properly flog it.
