Has mitsu changed the mr trans fluid?

So i bought some trans fluid for my MR and im used to it looking different than this and having a different part number (from what i recall).

I know the MR calls for super mutli gear 75w85 but it used to be Diaqueen. Sorry for the stupid question but I was just wondering if its the same stuff with different look or have they changed it?

There is DiaQueen trans fluid, and DiaQueen LSD fluid. One is for the trans and the other is for the rear diff and t case.

The mr's do use a different DiaQueen fluid then the 5MT trans, I believe that it is just a different weight.

edit: Looks like mitsu has made the part numbers for the 6mt and 5mt the same for the fluid. They were different at one point, but now they are the same.

i bought some a few months ago from lancershop.com with part number MZ313376. Now the dealer gave me the number that you have on your can im not sure what the deal is maybe they have changed the part number at the dealer and it hasn't filtered down enough for the distibutors to need the new fluid and get a new number. I just went with lancershop to be sure.

They are both diaqueen. MZ313376 is the part number for the trans fluid. The fluid is the same for the 5 and 6 speed and they are the same weight.

OP double check with the dealer for what vehicle that fluid is for. It also should be 75w85 GL-4 fluid.

As you can see the fluid says super multi gear 75w85 so it should work fine for the trans. I bought it from STM and they are legit. When i looked at the receipt it said Diaqueen MR Trans Fluid and had the new part# next to it so this has lead me to believe that mitsu has changed it.

Went through this same confusion, did a lot of research and can confirm part number MZ313376 has been replaced with 3717610. Apparently its nothing special and is used in a lot of mitsu manual and auto transmissions.
