I know my way around my subie but have never installed an Evo exhaust and downpipe. I will be installing a HKS 2.75''downpipe and a Magnaflow 3'' Cat Back exhaust. Im just wondering as to how many gaskets I need. Heres how I see it....

o2 housing - d gasket -downpipe - gasket - catalitic converter - gasket - exhaust...

I know I need the donut gasket but do I need the other two between the cat and the exhaust. I know I will need around a 70mm gasket so just gotta make sure I need them before I buy them. The downpipe is used so it has no gasket... Thanks for any info guys

 

I searched but its not the easiest thing to search for... O well guess I'll buy them just in case..

 

donut gasket can be reused if it's in good shape and is the right size
1 for downpipe -> test pipe
1 for test pipe -> catback
exhaust depends how many pieces it is, total number of pieces - 1 is how many you need. if exhaust is 3 pieces, you need 2 gaskets. mine was 2 pieces so i only needed 1 gasket

anyways, why a 2.75" downpipe when the rest is 3"?

 

Thx for the response. To be honest I am not completely sure if its 2.75'', as far as I know it is from the pictures I've seen. I got it used from a local guy who parted out his car. He didnt say the diameter and I forgot to ask. It came wrapped with thermal exhaust wrap all for $50.
