Downpipe gasket.

Can I reuse my stock downpipe gasket for my ultimate racing long downpipe or do I need to buy a divorced one?

rule of thumb is that you always want to get fresh new gaskets as they crush to mold your connections/gaps.

if not the chances of gasket leaks is common. may not blow your engine. but not good.

So another new oem one will be fine? It doesn't need to be divorced?

Get a new divorced gasket. Using an OEM bell-mouth gasket would lead to some extra turbulence since it doesn't seal the separate compartments individually.

Highly recommended to replace. Just installed an O2 housing on an EVO 8 and made the mistake of reusing the gasket to mate up with the Megan downpipe....leaks everywhere. Now the job has to be redone because we couldn't wait to have it installed...bummer
