im willing to bet 80% of the time its the o2 sensor if the cars still using closed loop operation. sure if the trims aren't dialed in right the o2 is dumb as it is and the stft can only do so much to try and correct it.. but theres so many mechanical issues that can cause bad mpg its not fair to just say its the tune until the person checks every last thing on their car.. popped egr hose, (boost leak), bad o2, malfunctioning maf, bov vent to atmosphere on maf tune, poor driving characteristics, crappy injectors, clogged fuel pump filter, etc etc so many things.

some people who switch to e85 will experience a clogged fuel pump filter because e85 breaks up things in your tank and cleans it out.. so its always a good thing to check the fuel filter to make sure its all good and not semi clogged from the initial shock of running the e85 in your tank.

personally ive never experienced clogging of filter, injectors etc.. but definitely had customers who have on more then one occasion.

winter blend and summer blend E85 maybe?

Do you go to the E85 Station In Roseville? Thats where i been going to get mine but i havent filled up on 85 in a minute.

i get about 215 miles on full tank of e85 without pushing her.

Nah I've always used the same shell station in my town. I'm pretty sure it's always 85

If your tune is good it won't matter if you have E85 (summer blend) or E70 (winter blend).

come on!!!!! i gave you the area to dig at.. i just didnt wanna spoon feed you the info.

thats what i want you to do.. experiment so you see what your car wants..
But I want to be spoon fed!

Really though, theres no way for me to monitor my MPG's accurately, because like everyone else, I find myself mashing that pedal whenever the opportunity arises. I def enjoy breaking the tires loose in 2nd

15min is not bad at all. Once you switch to E85 it will be worth it. I have one thats 5min away from my house that doesnt take credit cards at the pump. They also only have 2 E85 pumps in between to normal pumps. This makes it very inconvenient so I actually drive to another station which is 15min away from my house. They have 6 E85 pumps that take credit cards at the pump. Its also .20c cheaper. Worth the extra 10min IMO.

I'm just hoping nothing is clogged (fuel pump filter, injectors, etc) is there any way to check?

Would running an injector cleaner help?

The car makes good power... just gets bad mpg.

My fuel gauge jumps around too... sometime's it'll say quarter tank left then a couple minutes later it'll be at the half tank mark... wtf?

My best was 13.5mpg. In the warmer weather I'm hoping for 14-15mpg.
