WoW, Thats insane, didn't realise it would be that bad. Can you even drive the car like that? Sorry I'm a noob when it comes to anything rear of the motor.

No, with the transfer case locked up the car won't move. The OP actually says he had to have the car flatbedded home.

Same thing happened to me last year around Feb. all wheels locked doing 80mph on HWY after same grinding noise as OP. Ironically my warranty ran out by a week. I could neva understand it as thats the first maintenance I did to the car at a shop.
