I did look into that thread but that doesn't help me with knowin what companies offer carb exempt parts and what it will take to actually reach 300

You want to legally modify your car in CA? Isn't that an oxymoron..

OK, I have UICP, LICP, FMIC, TBE and a tune with 23psi of boost on stock turbo at redline and I make over 350whp. We don't have emission regulations here though.

LEAST amount of mods to get you 300 would be exhaust, intake and an MBC! obviously a tune as well.

1) Get an Injen Full IC pipe kit with intake pipe and filter (CARB LEGAL) (will significantly free up allowable air into the turbo)

2) Get an EVO9 Recirc Valve (Blow off valve) (noone will know/OEM parts)

3) Get an EVO9 turbo and install kit (noone will know/OEM parts)

4) Get RC injectors and peel the stickers off (750 minimumfor 91 octane/1200 min if you want to go E85) (it takes a trained eye to tell) (I passed visual with this method)

5) Get a Walbro 255lph fuel pump (noone will know/goes in the fuel tank)

6) Get a 3" free flowing CBE (cat back exhaust/just make sure it isn't too loud) (keep stock cat and downpipe)

7) Get GSC S1 cams-mild lope from what I hear/maybe even S2's (noone will know/still will pass the sniffer test)

8) Have or get a ported OEM throttle body (optional)

9) Get EVERYTHING tuned with ECU flash to include increased boost using the stock solenoid with a modified restrictor (noone will know/MANY tuners located in California )

That should get you there easily on 91 octane and you will pass the sniffer and visual test over and over and be 100% reliable. I'm from California.

Live in NorCal or SoCal? If you are going to stick to 91 oct you will need to follow a certain mod path. If you have access to E-85 you can get tuned on that as well through map switching and will need a fuel pump (Walbro 255) and injectors(1000cc) minimum. E-85 can provide more power potential with less mods.

Oh wow thanks a lot man that helps out a ton, say I don't want to do the cams would I still be close to 300 or would that throw me way back?

Bigger cams more then likely needed on 91 oct. S2's a good choice
