tighten E brake?

my e brake doesnt feel as solid as it used to any more. i really need to pull on it to get that braking power. is there a way to make the cable tighter?
or is there a ebrake brake pad?

It isn't an e-brake, it's really a parking brake. Yes you can pull up the center console and tighten the cable some but the ideal way is to pull the rear calipers and adjust it there. It's just a drum brake that locks on the inside of the caliper. If you have the time loosen the cable up and adjust the drum shoes. If not then just use the cable locking nut under the center console.

thanks for the correction
i will be tightening the center console bolt for now. but i have gone inside the caliper as well with not exactly knowing what to tighten. are there any pictures or links for what needs to be tightened once the caliper is off?

I would say its easier to adjust it the correct way. Jack the rear up, pull the wheels off. There is a hole you can get a screwdriver in. I believe you dont have to even take the rotor off? I cant remember for sure. But just spin the small gear till you ebrake handle gets tighter again. Easy.
