If you had supporting mods you are correct. Mind you though car wouldn't seem very fast being tq is what makes it get up and go not overall hp.

You dont understand what im saying, on a stock frame turbo, the tq and hp numbers are gonna be close. So your not gonna be able to have 550+ whp and still have the tq below 400....

Thats wrong info, there is no way you can retard timing enough to keep the torque that low at 600whp on that turbo

look at my build thread I am only at 12 degrees of timing on my stock block on an ef4 turbo and I make 544 whp it can be done I am telling you. And an ef4 is larger then a fp black.

That doesnt sound right. At 35psi he should be making a good bit over 450

I don't know that is why I'm asken. I just got my evo about a year ago and want to make around 5 to 6 hundred hp but didn't know if I had to do the block to achieve that or not.

Prove me wrong. Maybe my numbers are off since im used to being on a low reading dyno, not that virtual dyno stuff. I have no expericence with that so i dont know how different the numbers are.

What dyno your on will definately make a difference in this argument and since the number 400tq came up, i was assuming mustang dyno, since on dynojets you can go over 400tq and still be safe

Tcomp is right. You can make some HP and keep tq low. Timing and 3 port can control tq. Also a black spools slower so tq comes on later which is better for a stock motor. A motor will blow up faster on a stock turbo making 400tq over a black making 400tq. The tune also has a lot to do with how long a motor will last. I have seen people blow there motors making 250tq because of a bad tune. Lots of variables to look at.

Lets just agree to disagree. What dyno these numbers are on is gonna make a big difference.

no your exactly right on that no arguement here. I mean lets face it we all don't have access to our own personal dyno's and that is why we rely on virtural dyno so much. I mean it has been proven time and time again to be almost dead nuts on the dynojet dynos themselves. But all and all your correct yes.
