As long as you keep tq under or around 400 ft lbs you should be fine.

Its torque not horsepower that kills motors. Like cursedsm said keep tq under 400

i see a thread being created in near future.... "motor blew, what now?"

fp black on stock block is so stupid. the turbo makes to high of torque in relation to horsepower.

But is it also about the tune as well I have read that the tune has everything to do with the car and what you put in it

i thought the fp black produces lower torque compare to the green, bbk, hks?

You sir are correct. The tune has everything to do with the way the turbo performs specailly on a stock block. If the tq is kept to the safe limit hp shouldnt play as big of factor and if done right the motor should last a good while.

Im saying if you need to stop at 400 tq, your hp is not gonna be much higher then that. All the stock frame turbos are like that. I mean it all depends on supporting mods and stuff like that, but fp blacks make high torque numbers for a stock bottom end to handle

That's what FP told me when I called they said the red and black a 25 psi would have the same torque and the green at 25 psi produced more

Not sure about the hks but the black is larger then the green and the bbk full. It also depends on what motor your running 2l vs 2.3 vs 2.4 etc plus how it is tuned.

That is incorrect, if you stop at 400 tq any good tuner should be able to make as much power as they can with proper fuel and bolt ons to make more then enough power to make it fun and yet keep it safe at 400 or so tq

So I could have 600 hp as long as my tq is 400 or below?
