EVO 9 MR - Near new

Just a heads up...Just saw a EVO 9 MR at South Coast Mitsubishi / So Cal with 17,000 original miles on it. It's in perfect condition. Couldn't believe it. It's black and the interior is spotless.

I bought my IX MR with <24k miles and a bunch of JDM goodies for $26k... $32k seems a bit steep.

It's not $32K, it's $29.9K.

I was in the market for an Evo but after looking at prices lately a bit ridiculous 17-18k for an 03?! Might as well get a 335i at those crack prices. When the ix's were new they were going for 24-25k otd..

Is a IX even worth it at 30k? Not that I can afford that but at that price range aren't there better cars out there? new at that? Alot can happen at 17k miles. Just saying.

Yeah, steep numbers. But then again, a lot of people are getting into Evo's now. I've been seeing a lot in my area, and sadly it's one of those "rich kids who don't know ****" kind of thing. I'm eyeng that AS IX they got w/ 24K miles. Soon as my X is sold. :s

There was a super long thread about how the price of EVO's were going up over time. Many guys stated that it is similar to the Supra, FD or other classic Japanese imports that were landmarks in Japanese automotive history where the price still maintained a high value over the years.

With the way the car market is going, we most likely won't see many awd turbo gas guzzlers as much and especially from Mistubishi. Many people consider the 8/9 the last true raw Evolution, hence the high prices to date.

Personally when I was looking for an EVO 3 years ago, they were actually cheaper than they are now lol. The market seems to have stayed put after the X was released and had so so reviews. I also had to same problem when I was considering an 06/07 STI as well after the hatchback was the only model you could buy after 08.

Well the 06/07 STi's are pretty cheap compared to 06 Evo's from what I've seen. I'm guessing it's because it's a Subaru and subbies don't really maintain a resale value as Mitsu does. Also the hatch STi's are pretty sick.

Anyone else think this will hold true? I'd hate to pay a premium for an Evo and see prices drop after I get one maybe due to failing economy.
