"the U.s. May Never See The Evo Vii"

Hey guys! It's been a pretty lengthy time since I have been here last (lost a little bit of enthusiasm for the evo, how dare I ). Anywho, so I don't know if you have seen this article or not, but it is from www.fastandfuriouseast.com and they talk about the evo 7 and the evo 8 that could be made for the states, and the rest of the world. The title of the article is "THE U.S. MAY NEVER SEE THE EVO VII"... The link is in about the middle of the page, on the left hand side. Just do ctrl+F and type "evolution" and you'll find it.

Like I said, it's been a while, so if this is old news, please forgive me.

Nick

No time, no dates, nothing. Very poor source of information in my opinion.

I think seeing an evo with the GDI engine is a good thing...who knows, could be better than the current VII model....just as long as MMC doesn't take away all the goodies!

GDI

I'll be pretty damn impressed if we get the GDI
Plus, a completely retooled engine would almost certainly be reengineered for better air flow dynamics in the heads. They put a lot of engineering (with fluid dynamics work) into developing the GDI cylinder mixing...it'd be really surprising if they didn't retool the heads too. 2001 technology vs 1992 technology. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
I just hope they don't skimp on the frame/body. All the extra welds and stiffening are tough to reproduce aftermarket.

Thanks for the article. It is very similar however to this one which was posted a while back:

Looks like they did a wholesale copy and paste from various parts of the article I wrote a while back....

Too bad your web site isn't copyrighted.

Well, the photos are...

I suppose I should copyright it - but in general, that can't stop people from taking the information and *rewriting* it. It's considered at least semi-professional to take the effort to word it differently - not just copy and paste text.

copy and paste

It sounds like APEXJAPAN is fooling everyone into thinking they are somehow the "ORIGINAL" source of this EVO information. Don't believe the hype! APEXJAPAN is just another site that gets their info from some other website. There's nothing new or different there. APEXJAPAN cannot copyright information that practically everyone already has. I've seen the same EVO VIII info on a few other sites BEFORE APEXJAPAN posted their article.

Wow...that's SO not in English.

At any rate, please don't let this get out of hand. Hopefully this can be settled in PMs if it's absolutely necessary.

Somebody doesn't posess much comprehension of english, I see. I have nothing against people reading our site and using that information to write their own articles - that happens, everywhere. What I have against it is that they *didn't* change the writing in the article and just pasted portions of it into their article *verbatim*.

That is plagerizing. If you at least manage to include sidenotes that you copied it from somewhere else, it's still somewhat ok. But that didn't happen either.

And while we may not have gotten the information out first (I don't know, really), I can guarantee that we got it from the horses mouth. There are *some* advantages to being in Japan and having a primary goal of covering JDM vehicles.

I found some other pages there that were EVO related and fairly interesting:

Turbo lancer cedia:
