I was 23 back in 2005 when I got my first VIII. Took me about a year of saving every penny I could - had to throw down $14,000 cash just to be sure I could get approved for the loan. (First ever financed vehicle)

Midlife crisis? Speak for yourself. I had a steering wheel in my crib; my earliest memories revolve around cars and bikes. I began modeling (very basic) cars of my own design at the age of 8 made with parts that were literally found in the garbage, I bought subscriptions to C&D and R&T shortly after coming to the US at the age of 11 with money I made pulling weeds before I could even read and speak English, I drove a 2200lb stripped-out sh/tbox for 12 years, while wearing a suit and tie to work, because I loved the driving experience. Would you like me to go on?

It's almost ironic, as I see the 40+ crowd as my peers, guy who likely came from the same (automotive) place in the world as myself. It's a shame you had to deconstruct the idea.

Heh, I drive mine every chance I get. Not that I have to go far; most of it is for fun.

Why wouldn't you drive it as a daily? What's wrong with that?

Just curious as to how old you guys were when you got into your first evo?
