I lived there from 89 to 99. Not much snow, but when it does, the place shuts down. And they get ice storms, which are worse.
I can't help you with current housing; the place has exploded since we left. I hardly recognize it any more.
We lived downtown, 1 block behind the Governor's Mansion. I was always going the opposite way from most traffic, so it was bearable.
