if your up north in canada, I'm sure there would be some brave soul who would trade you everything so someone lucky here would have RHD and you could have LHD Not that it helps but its just an idea

But their laws are a lot less stringent on importing and RHD cars than they are here in the states. So you see more JDM vehicles there LEGALLY.

They have to be at least 15 years old to be legally imported here.Evo 9's are very very rare.

^ Yup. And here in the states it is 25 years before they are "free of importation restrictions"

Sorry to tread off-topic.

why dont you import one from europe (spain, germany), and it will be LHD to begin with. If Canada's laws are less stringent why dont you just import one from the US lol

Because the ct9w was only made in japan so they are all rhd only.

At the very minimum you'll need a new dash and probably a LHD steering rack assy. You'll have to check if anything is different in the engine bay that would give you issues with swapping the steering over. I have no idea how the pedals are mounted, but you'd have to look into what it takes to swap them over.

I was eyeballing a RHD RX7 back when they were allowed in Quebec, but the swap to LHD just wasn't worth the cost. That was because you couldn't just swap the steering racks, you had to move a whole bunch of things that were in the way.

Yes... but thats a rhd car as well..
I already plan on dash/steering rack/lhd hid headlight housings/pedals...
Can anyone verify if the brake master are in different places rhd vs lhd?

I don't know the details of an Evo RHD/LHD conversion, but on Hondas the best method is to source a front clip and have it welded onto your car. Swaps like this are pretty common with Honda/Acura and Nissans.

If you're looking to convert it for the sake of making it legal, you should probably look into your local laws regarding this. In the USA, what you're talking about doing could be very illegal if not done properly.

Not a legality issue I just prefer LHD. Unlike doing a swap with a FD which was sold in the states the wagon was never LHD so not an optoin.

I feel sorry for whoever offers to do a swap with you. I would imagine the only way would be to find a lhd owner willing to swap everything over. Would be a ton of work but not impossible.
