I love my Greddy counterweight, though if someone made a knob like Greddy that is as heavy and it didn't burn your hand or freeze it I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Here you go.. you can see I still need to figure out a shift boot solution.. I have the five speed but the MR boot so the throw on the shifter is longer. I just cover it up with my black shifty which works out since the knob is cold as hell in the winter.
I have a greddy one and love it. i put the stocker on one day and could not wait till i got back home to put the greddy back on. i would sell mine to someone if i can find a orange shift knob
never tried a counter weight shift knob, but considering you said you like the Honda style shift knobs, check the Blox OG type r knob, i believe they were called. i liked them so much i purchased two of them one for my evo in electric blue and one for my Del sol in a gunmetal. has that nice shiny mettalic look, with the Type R style shape and numbers ectched onto it.
I got the WORKS weighted matte black knob for x-mas .. feels and looks great. only thing is it seemed like it didn't screw on completely straight, though not that big of a deal
I use a weighted leather DSM knob. It is much bigger than stock and feels good. I use ot with a short shifter and full bushings. Works great...can't complain.
Thanks to everyone who recommended TWM Performance's weighted shift knobs! Here is a link to see our wide selection of weighted shift knobs for your Evo X:
I love the BILLETWORKZ shift knob. Its weighted and feels really nice to shift in them.
I live in a country where its summer all year long and it has not gotten hot at all(maybe my AC is always on hmm..)
