Some EVO VI questions..

Have a couple questions about my 99 EVO VI...

1.) Are the fog lights supposed to stay on all the time if they are switched on? I know.. sounds weird.. let me try and clarify.

On every other car that I have owned, when I hit the fog light switch the fog lights would only actually turn on when the headlights where also turned on. On my EVO, the car can be off, no keys even in it, and I can turn the fog lights on and off with the switch. Was wondering if this is a normal feature or if someone at some point ****ed with the wiring and made it so they could be turned on at any time.

2.) What bulbs do the EVO VI's use for the headlights and fog lights? Looking to change them out to a more white color. Or possibly even do HID, for at least the fog lights.

3.) I get a pretty nasty sound on low gear deceleration.. kind of like a heat shield is loose and vibrating bad. Personally I think that its a bad motor mount that is causing it, due to a lot of other vibrations im feeling. The mounts are all stock and I havent gotten up the drive to actually remove them to see if any are bad.

Ive been told that this sound is due to the lightwieght flywheel and that the car is "rough" stock. I just can't believe that any car company or person buying a car would want it to vibrate this bad right off the lot. I understand that its a "performance" car.. but when I turn the A/C on at idle the whole car shouldn't be vibrating like it is. The car is over 10 years old, and I'm pretty sure that the mounts have never been changed, and it's not like they can never go bad.

4.) Do the EVO VI's come with a belly pan stock? Mine doesnt have one.. hate it when people remove stock parts for no good reason.

Thanks for any help/input you may have...

Bret

1. Well thats silly.. at least the buzzer goes off when I leave them on after turning the car off.

2. H4 for both the headlights and the fog lights?

3. I understand its not going to be luxury car smooth.. but my steering wheel vibrates enough to make any woman happy. Guess I'll just have to get off my *** and take the mounts off and check them out..

4. found this on YAJ.. my car is missing it..

know its not really a belly pan, but it looks like it would help air flow, and im sure Mitsubishi put them on our cars for a reason.

Thanks raulthode for your reply
