Agreed. That would be a steal even now. In 2008, that guy not only stole from the seller, but had sex with his mother too.

Many deals to be had out there, you just have to look and never buy from anyone but the owner of the car, your buying a car that relies on maintenance heavily. You have no idea what has been done and what has not... Always buy stock and build.

This thread is extremely depressing

When i bought my Evo back in March of 2009 basically stock (Turboback/Intake). It had 49K miles and bought it for $23k out the door. I thought it was a good deal and it was clean. For this car your mentioned, i wouldnt pay more then 20k for it.

Would you guys say an 03 with 36k for $19 was reasonable? Going from book I thought it was but I get bashed for paying almost 20 grand for a car that's 9 years old.

It might match up to the book but, this is when you figure out whats most important to you. That's a lot of coin, you could get a couple years newer slightly more miles with newer technology for that price. You're just paying for the super low miles. That's great if that's whats most important to you. Maybe find an 05-06 with 50-60k for that price

Paid 24k for my evo with 48k miles on it from a dealer, but it has a few mods on it. Tien coils, stuts, falken tires,Carbon fiber, trunk, hood , fenders, 25psi tune, boost gauge. Full hks exhaust, megen o2 pipe, AMs fmic, koyorad radiator, jdm rear bumper and a few carbon fiber interior parts. Plus it's a shep trans and tease with a act street clutch. Injen pipes upper and lower too. And has the dash over lay blue gauges. Also a manual boost controler. Now it does need some work, just had the alternator rebuilt and that cost me 90.00 bucks. It's a 2006 evo ix, also has HID headlights. Seemed like a decent deal since I wanted some carbon fiber look. But I was about to get a 08 evo X with 22k miles on it for 26k but it was blue and the clutch was weak sauce, all stock too but still a good price and that was from a dealer too, one owner car too no issues. But I had a trade in too that had over 100,000 miles on it that they gave ne 7k for. So I got this for 17k in the end with all fees.

A Mazda speed 6 is hard to sell, why? Engines and electrical issUes. You are considered lucky to get 60kmiles out of a ms6 engine. Clutches Are known to last 30-40k miles stock and the oem flywheel is way overpriced the act street clutch will leave u with a cramping left leg on them cars... Popeye like. And turbos tend to burn oil, thru the shaft, and they are heavy cars. Still rare and yes fun to drive.

Something to think about:

If the car has been maintained properly per Mitsu's specs, I would MUCH rather pay LESS for a 70K mile car, than pay MORE for a 50K mile car, as with the lower mile option you are paying more, and also setting yourself up with the requirement of having to dump tons of money into it for the 60K maintenance.

If an Evo is maintained properly, a 20K mile difference matters very little in the long run.

That's an awesome deal! I paid 13,000 for mine. Evo 8 with bolt ons. 114,000 miles though. But only two owners.

um not sure what *** you pulled that from lol....
1. i have 112,386 on my ODO right now
2. i have 112,386 miles on my stock clutch now, was fully bolted now back down to TBE/intake, doesnt slip or grind.
3. ive been on the mazda speed forums for a few years now, and havent heard of people having electrical issues yet, unless THEY wired something wrong

Mazda designed the PCV sytem really shi**y on this car, so when you open of the exhaust it screws up the pressure and forces the oil past the seals, there is a TSB for a reworked turbo for that.

but yes there wasnt very many MS6's produced, they had a very short 2 year production run

anyways back on topic, silver is my last color choice lol becuse everyone i know around here has silver, lol this is the one im talking about im not paying anywhere near that price though, i think ill offer 19500 as my out the door price..if they say no, ill just wait for my 2013 Genesis Coupe

no more than 28 k. with around 15-22 k miles. This is very negotiable. Depreciation is a big factor.

Paid 38k for my new evo in March 2007 with all stock Mitsubishi upgrades (canards, lighter cross brace, rear brace etc., now it appraises at 23k on Nada.com. 5 years later only lost 15 k in value, not bad. May be I should start investing in Evos

It is very hard for me to accept the fact of losing 15 G's in a matter of 5 years, when you could purchase a used car that was maintained properly and save 15G's!

Then again, I could never afford a brand new Evo to begin with so I'm just fortunate to have found one in my budget!
