I paid 22k for a 9se with 24k miles in March that was a garage queen. This thing has never seen rain and has 1 small dent

Mods well Walbro, Milspec TB and Yellow Fogs.

Indeed this thread is good. Paid 17k for an 03 gsr with 32k miles about 3 months ago. I feel like I did ok.

I'm currently looking into a 03 BBY evo Viii with 128k on it for $13,000. Does that sounds to high?

I paid $11000 for a 03 GSR with 150k on her last year, timing belt had just been replaced and it came with bolt ons, paint was in fair shape and interior was similar but I intended to swap to IX interior and respray the entire car which I did once I went JDM rear and nose chop front end. In the end it worked out in my favor, I've had 0 issues with the car after 4000 miles.

If I were to sell my 2003 Evo 8 with 39,000 miles, clean title no accidents, excellent interior/exterior, would $21k sound like a reasonable selling price?

Why would you want an Evo X? Unless they pay you the eighteen grand...

I've never seen an Evo 10 run for 18k. Besides some people like Evo 8/9's more especially low mileage ones.

$21k, you can't be serious. Because it's low mileage 15-16k tops. 21k is Evo 9 territory

I'd be more interested in the work and/or maintenance put into the engine than the actual mileage.

Miles doesn't always matter as much as how well the car has been cared for. There are a lot to consider. I sold my 2003 with a rebuilt 2.3L; 152 on chassis, 4k on motor when I sold it. Sold it for $16k, with tons of good parts, and a build I fully tested and trust. Buyer came up and drove nearly 2000 miles home to Texas. He was very happy with the car and said he had no issues on the way. You just have to hope the seller is honest, and you also know what to look for as a consumer.

My philosophy is, if the seller of a performance car doesn't let the buyer fully test the car out, then maybe there is something they're hiding.
