Intercooler help please

Hey guys. Got my evo not too long ago an replacing the clutch on her. People have told me my intercooler is aftermarket by the look and after some research I agree but while the bumper is off I have looked all over the thing and can not find a name or etching. Anyone recognize it? Just curious so on my mod list I can be more specific then "aftermarket intercooler". Thanks all

Yeah it looks like a knock off to the AMS one for sure. You should just buy the AMS one lol

Just because it's ebay, doesn't mean it's crap. There are many people on here running ebay parts and making power. Plus I'd rather have that than a stock one..

Definitely Ebay. Don't be sad though, they work pretty good. I have one on my daily driver, and also rocked it on my black car went it was going low 11's on fp green.

Could it be the older AMS intercooler without the new cast tanks, I thought the old version didn't have their name stamped on the end tanks?

I can tell its ebay because the inlet and outlet are straight and not curved like the ams ones. The other difference between this version and the AMS one is that the bracket on top bolts to it where the AMS one is welded. I'm not really sure because when I put on the FMIC, I also added some other mods.

Yup. There's a bunch of ebay sellers that have them.

It look like the older AMS intercooler. The newer cast end tank intercooler has the AMS logo on the side.
