fuel pump help please.

Question fuel pump help please.

Sooo my walbro 255 fuel pump was going out so i bought a cnt 340lph fuel pump installed it. now my car doesnt start.... took it back out made sure connections were good put it back in car still doesnt start.... took it out put my walbro back in still doesnt start...... took it out again reinstalled my new cnt pump triple checked connections put it back in still doesnt start....... checked all fuses etc... been researching on here and seems couple people have had this problem and everyone of them said they dono how they fixed it..... any leads would be great.. thanks ill keep looking myself..... car frustrates me sometimes

Make sure you clean the spot where the pump grounds to. Make sure the connections are solid at the grounding spot on the chasis. When that is checked make sure you have power to the pump. I know I had a hell of a time with that way back when and sure enough it was the ground spot wasnt clean enough and wasnt makeing good contact.

No the ground wire that goes to the pump. You have to ground the pump right, make sure where ever you ground it, it has a good clean surface.

As I said in the other thread I was thinking that your pump was rewired. Thats why I am suggesting check ground.

oh i get what your saying. its just a straight plug and play with the stock harness so i didnt have to re wire anything.

bump. still cant figure this out :/ anyone have an actual pic of where the fuel relays are for an evo 8 i think i replaced the right one but herd there is two. i replaced the relay in the slim fuse box second one to the top (fire wall) also used volt meter on the harness that plugs into the fuel pump and im not getting power back to it..

I think there is a pic of the fuse box in the owners manual that comes in the car. I know I have had to look for misc things on my car using it. Maybe that will give you what your looking for.

one problem when i bought the car four years ago it didnt have the owners manual lol would love to look in it but dont have one haha
