Question Shop/Personal Car - Should I sell???

Hey guys,

I have been doing a lot of thinking over the past month or two. I have thought about selling my car. I'm not really wanting to sell it, it happens to be a one off and the only setup like it in the world...

I am trying to decide if I should sell it and move on to something else or not. I have thought about getting a R35 for a shop car if I sell my Evo.

2006 EVO IX MR/SE - Price... IDK, open to sugestions

Just let me know what you guys think about me selling the car. I am seriously stuck on what to do... The car has a lot of money in it, a lot of one off custom parts, and a spot in my heart... If I decide to sell, I need to come up with a fair price, open to what others think it is worth.

Thanks and hope everyone is having a great day

Mikey

I would want to keep it forever! lol. There are some people who hit a wall with there car and not able to do anything else with it and usually those people upgrade to a new car. So if you feel that wall upgrade to the GTR.

Post up some pictures of the beast. Any car that you put that much time and effort into will be very hard to give up. I personally would keep it, but an R35 would also be a very fun car to build.

Personally, I think if you are asking on the forum if you should sell it, then you shouldn't. You have too much blood, sweat, tears, and money into that thing to just unload it.

Instead of selling the car Mikey, you should part out all "performance" parts and go back to a simple evo and get a gtr. That way you dont lose your car and you get a new toy. YOu'd get thousands of thousands in sales for your performance parts easily. A lot of people need those parts. Youd miss the car if its all gone

I can't really imagine having such an over-the-top car BUT if I did I imagine there'd be no way in HELL I'd get rid of it. I have zero intention of ever getting rid of my IX. I'll mod it to be a killer DD (400HP+ with a BBK Full)and then only do further upgrades when the components fail.

You'll loose your shirt on this car if you sell it. IMO the car is worth maybe 29K-35k on the high side of things....which is probably a faction of what’s into the car (with the purchase price of the car).... The GTR is a far superior car....with a far superior price on parts..I’d make sure your well versed in all the costs associated with owning a GTR, especially if you’re planning on modding it as well.

For maximum return on investment, maximum frustration and labor: Part out and sell everything non-OEM then sell as stock for $22k.

For minimum work, speedy sale and maximum emotional damage: Post For Sale immediately, Price: $25k

For minimum emotional damage: Keep the car, permanently delete/shred all receipts. Never tell your fiance' how much it all cost. Women lie about the number of sexual partners they've had, men lie about things like this.

We all know what its like to realize our investment returns a value so deep in the negative. Unfortunately, the economy is still really weak, especially in niche car markets like this and Evo IX's with $50k+ invested are hardly getting $28k.

Completely mint, OEM, sub-40k mile Evo IX's are fetching more than ones like yours. People know they're going to lose a lot of money building their car so they might as well enjoy and plan the build themselves.

EDIT: What's the miles on it? Sorry if I missed it.

As someone said, part it out. Sell the car stock. You will make a hellava lot more money. Buy the GTR. Make good power on GTR and now you gain a whole diffrent type of customer for the shop.
