wiring harness question ?
i have optima yellow top, reason why its little low is because car been sitting for 4 months now with this problem:/
i checked the resistance in the resistor box and this is what i got:
1-3 6.5
4-3 6.5
5-3 6.6
6-3 6.6
is that good ??
This is general knowhow and not refered directly to your application.
Im not shure wheter you ask for Fuel or Spark on cyl 1.
But the injector are quit simpel seen form a electrical point. It is a coil and have one end on eatch pin in the connector. Use a ohm-meter to meshure the resistant of eatch injector. (no wire cap on it).
They should be fairly equal 2,5-3 ohm if it is low ohm injectors or 12 ohm if it is high ohm injectors.
You can use 2 wires to supply batteryvoltage directly on eatch injector, but do only "schratch" the wire to the injector. All injectors have to click, sound and the inside movement should be felt. ( please be aware of spark and fuel can cause explotion or fire).
The normal operation is that one side of all injector coils are connectet to inj power +12 and the other side of eatch are connected to one output port of the ECU. This is because the electronik inside the ECU port are normal better to sink, than to source power.
When low ohm injectors are used you will normaly see an resistor block, this is just one resistor put in serial to eatch of the injector coils.
This should help to understand the normal operation of the injectors.
