any other thoughts or recommendations?

Also is it better to go with a stage upgrade like with Bushur, ams, Turbo XS, Vishnu or is it better to piece together your own setup??

Also someone recommended purchasing most of my stuff through japanese dealers, who are the major japanese manufacuters I should be looking at??

Thanks in advance for everything.

I thought I would give this a bump to see if anyone else had any recommendations. I am using this list as a guideline for my modifications. I know you guys have so much more experience with these unbelievable machines. I guess what i would be looking for is something in the area of about 350whp.

Thanks in advance for the information.

No offense, but with $3k you won't get 350whp. No way. First, the kind of claims like "50whp for a turbo back" arn't realistic on a stock evo. Probably more like 15-20whp on a stock evo. The 50whp claim would be true once you get into a larger turbo setup (where the exhaust really starts restricing you). The other thing to remember is that hp gains arn't linear, they don't add up.

For example, my power mods include:
WORKS P2 91 Octane: 20-25whp
Full WORKS turbo back: 15-20whp
WORKS 269 Cams: 25whp
WORKS Throttle Body: 5whp (guess)

So if I were doing optimistic math on this, I'd have 65-75whp

In reality I have 55whp above my stock baseline. (285whp, est 330-340hp at the flywheel)

That's for around $2500 plus install.

Also remember that there is a big difference on these boards between whp claims on different dynos.

Shiv has had similar results, with similar prices. Their signature setup (which is probably slightly lower build quality than the WORKS pieces) gets you to 340hp for $2450 plus install.
