you need a good intercooler if you wanna make safe power on the stock turbo. putting cams in there with a stock intercooler is just dumb, you will never be able to take full advantage of them when your sh*t is heat soaked

Map switching would not be a terrible option as least you can take advantage of the better fuel "when you can". I agree with the needed intercooler.

Sorry for the late reply everyone but my car, for now at least, is a DD. So with that said I just basically wanted to make it a fun street car. I go to the local 1/8th mile every once in a while and I plan on going to track events once I have more money to spend on tires, brake pads, rotors, etc.

Ok and another question for you guys, I now purchased my cams and have them in my possession. They are GSC s2 for an evo 8, my question is should I get the GSC beehive valvesprings that you use with the stock seats and retainers, the MAP valvesprings that you use with the stock seats and retainers, or BC valvesprings and retainers? They will all roughly be the same price so I wanted your guys' opinions since my search didn't lead me to any definite answer. Thanks again!

if you bought GSC cams, no reason not to do GSC valve springs...its a proven combo. stock retainers are actually pretty good and acceptable up to 8-9k.
