That's not always the case...make sure it not only has a carfax which backs up the owner's claims, but also get a mechanic to look over it thoroughly.

Its not that much to maintain an evo its just costly when it breaks just save your money and dont race it all the time ******* the car and you should be good. Its a old car though so what like 1,500 for the motor and like 1k for a rebuild on the gearbox thats not alot. Try getting repairs on a german car youll scream rape then.

Yeah, German repairs!!! My hubby wanted me to buy a bimmer at one point, but I know what those repair bills look like... He's so anti japanese cars for some reason, which has been driving me insane!

My clutch did start to go on the viii I had around 41k, but I agree.... tires, synthetic fluids, etc. cost a bit more than the average car... But in general, quite reliable vehicles unless raced/beaten.

I also think I've finally worn my hubby down enough to put an offer in on the car in question. Of course, my luck, this will be the week it sells! Ha!

Thanks!!! I'm still bitter about missing out on the black MR, though.

Yes, pics, of course.... maybe I should wait a few months, though. I'm so preggers right now.... I know, I know, this mommy is totally not contemplating mini-vans!!! But, the Evo is the ultimate family sedan....

I'm actually curious... how in the world are you going to fit in those Recaro's squeezed up against that Momo wheel when super pregnant. Maybe its just my seating position, but I sit super close to the wheel so my clutch foot can hit the floor, and I can't imagine doing that with a literal baby between me and the wheel.

Hee hee! Now, let me tell you...... I actually sold my MR because I resigned from my pharma job (4 speeding tickets in 2 months! Go figure.... But, all but one was in the piece of crap company Chrysler Sebring, LMAO.), & found out shortly after I was preggers.... So, I ended up trading it on a Mazdaspeed Protege. Now, that's a car to fit into 9 months pregnant! So, I don't think the Evo will be that much of an issue. Now, getting off my sofa...... That's a problem! Besides, I only have a few more months to go.

However, I do have a feeling the dealership personnel will most definitely be snickering at the pregnant lady buying an Evo! I'm sure I'd be voted least likely buying candidate. But, my 4-year old is super excited that we might get the blue one!

Rofl... thats hilarious. 500 hp Evo with a 9 mo pregnant lady driving it. When some kids Mustang gets smoked off the line by her he must have gone home and shot himself. "I just got burned by a 4-cyl import driven by a pregnant woman."

Do you really think that rolling your eyes at a +5-year participating member of this forum, because he didn't get his post proofread by a lawyer, is an appropriate act for a noob hoping to raise his post count?

Your post made me smile! I do know people who love their minivans, and I see the practicality.... It's funny I mentioned them yesterday, because when I got home from work, my hubby just had to tell me about this Cadillac SVX his mother just got in (she works at a local Mazda dealership)! Now, it is an SUV technically, but how can you compare that to an Evo!? It's totally equivalent to an overgrown minivan.

i dont get why your worried???? because of really low miles???? last time i checked that was a good thing when a car has low miles. do a carfax report, see the history, yes it is possible that someone barely drove it. i have an 05 with a little bit under 46K miles. some people says that really low as well. there are good deals out there.

I feel if you wait, this one is going to get taken right in front of your eyes as well.
