old video when wired to my alarm, since i changed alarm style i embarked on getting it to run off an arduino board, using a temporary switch since i haven't wired the oem mirror switch i got from the UK, i will also be adding the function to auto unfold at a specific mph which happend OEM at like 20kph i think. I also will program in auto fold when car is shut down since i already have an ignition sensing setup for the arduino because i wired in a rfid access system to unlock the car and it only gets activated when ign is off.
Thats sick, both features the evo should have come stock with..or at least an option.

This is epic. Love to see the outcome... and complexity in the end. Definently in for results and list of parts and prices needed to complete and pull this off properly Good luck and keep us posted and up to date

Couldn't we simply use a microcontroller and a few servos? I guess that it would take a little fab, but I am sure it would not be too difficult. It may not be as snazzy or fully integrated as the OEM stuff, but it would work and be much less expensive.

i think the point behind this is the have the full climate control, not just electronic servos controlling the blowers

lol The hardest part to have full climate temp control would be to make the blower/ac turn on and off blowing at a specified temp with an integrated temp sensor and adjust the servo to make changes to open/close the blower depending on the temp.

It would simply attempt to keep the car at the set temp with a small range of acceptable temp (+/-2*) or whatever.
There could simply be some buttons and small lcd for an interface or a dial (which might be harder but more OEM looking)

Again though it would not be as clean as the OEM unit though.

May be, if u will buy the new core assembly, you will probably need some wiring/connector, vacuum tubes, and one more thing ...

AutoClimateControl have exactly the same heater blower assy. that we have, but there is heater control motor is changed, we have old 2 wire motor, and AutoCC has 3 wire motor- so we need it also- MR 568912...
Any way i will do full write up a lil bit later, i have no time to install it, only to see all of these part lying on the table ...

There is many JDM only RH Mitsu cars with MMCS option - Lancer, Lancer Cedia, Lancer Evo7, even LH model for Taiwan - Mitsu Virage io, has this pacakge. Its included DVD/Navi/MDdisc or casette player fully auto Climate Controll and TouchScreen!!!
So all we need is to find this panel and doing some little trick to install it. We have here many cars having this mod done, and there is one problem!

Air vents is smaller and vertical, and there is two option
1. Buy from the same vehicle UnderPanel Air divider... $150 new from dealer MR 398216
2. Fabricate smth, but there is a very little free space, and its hard part ...

Any way as i started to buy those parts i will do write up with pics ...
Now you could see how it works
