I'm fully wanting to, but I keep on letting myself get tied up in side projects at home. I might be able to find some time later this month.

I've made some very good progress on this project! The only thing I still need to figure out is the blower motor.

This swap won't be cheap but I think I can keep it under $1k.

You should take the UKDM panel and figure out what each wire controls and just hook that up to servo's on the US hvac system that's already in our cars. I'm sure and audrino controller could adjust servo's to give us electronic HVAC (really all i'm looking for since it's SO much cleaner looking in the dash than the stock 90's knobs)

I'd offer to help program the controller but i'm useless with electronics =P

either way, i'm looking forward to seeing more progress!

That's a good idea, but definitely not necessary for this application. The electronics all work from the factory. The problem is in packaging, wiring, and sourcing components. I've got most of that figured out.

How many people would still be interested in this project if I can get the price down to $900? This is with me providing all parts and installation instructions necessary for completion. This is also using USED parts, such as the blower motor. If you want new parts, the price goes up considerably.

i'm still interested, but it really depends on the end price

do you have a list of parts needed and their respective prices so far? I'm guessing a fair chunk of that change is just shipping costs?

Yes I do. I finally have a full list and sources for each part. I'm ordering all of the parts now and hope to have it fully functional in my own vehicle in a few weeks.

Most of the part numbers are provided in LexCite's thread.

If $500 is too much, then this project is certainly not for you. If you weren't located in the US, then it would be much cheaper. With so many sensors, additional hardware, wiring, and then shipping, you'd understand the price.
