just a quick question, I know that the earlier evo8 wings are full carbon underneath the paint..can anyone confirm that the wing on the 05 was also full carbon? I have an 05 wing available to me and im looking to sand it down to the carbon and have it recleared. thanks for any replies

 

All Evo 8 wings are full CF. If you get the wing, look at it at an angle, even through the paint you can see the weaves of the CF.

 

Mine is. But I had heard for a time that Mitsu was giving out Evo IX wings as replacements when the clear coat started to peel and for the longest time I held out on getting mine replaced under warranty, but I finally went through with it and they gave me...an full carbon Evo VIII wing. So I guess it depends on what '05 it came off of and wether or not there's has been replaced by Mitsu.

 

Look at the inserts on the inner sides of the wing, if they're carbon fiber you have an 8 wing, which is full carbon.
