Iac question post-search
My question is after installing a new/ish one is there any type of calibrating or anything needing to be done?
I bought one off another owner(evo9 putting on my 8) stating it works perfect and after starting the car it idles worse. If its faulty Ill find him, but maybe there's something else. Any help appreciated
I know it's been talked about over and over in various threads.
This questions simple and haven't seen it. Good answer and when it's over with and someone else can benefit from it hopefully

Basically you will have to do an idle learn. I would disconnect the battery and let idle for a while, then drive it around for two days so it re learns the parameters.
If you have evoscan, turn it to SAS mode, adjust your BISS screw to 850 (whatever stock is) or so rpms, turn off SAS mode, disconnect and wait for the idle to turn to whatever your flash is set to hit. I had to basically do the entire base idle reset to get my IAC to work properly. Worth a shot. If all else fails, raise the idle on your flash, not the BISS screw. Good luck.
