I blew a evo's turbo up and only got til 23-25. are you sure it's not a custom turbo? If the turbo blow's it's a $500-700 repair so you better get it checked out.

Well, you have received some very good advice thus far and I hope you get the EVO checked out.

For email tunes, there are a several options:
1. Tscompusa
2. Mellon

There are many folks here form Illinois. A couple of shops were mentioned above, and I hope more folks chime in with relevant recommendations. You may also want to post on the regional forum link'd below.

If you don't mind I suggestion, I'd strongly recommend taking the car to an Evolution specialist. Good luck.

Please, please, pleeeease take the car to a shop that regularly works on Evos! Your average mechanic isn't going to know sqaut about a modified Evo. Don't make the mistakes I did and trust just anybody. Take it to some place that is reputable and that knows Evos inside and out.

I know it's a bit of a drive for you but you'll most likely have to come up to the Chicago area. I highly recommend Strictly Modified or Boostin Performance. Can't go wrong with AMS either but their going to be more expensive than the other shops I mentioned and in my opinnion, Strictly and Boostin are just as good.

Calling the dealer to ask about a modded Evo is like calling the police to ask if the weed you just bought is dank or commercial.

I will never buy from Ford again. Those idiots need to fix the car first then try to sell. People now adays dont care if they do harm to others. But thanks guys, I guess I will call AMS in the moring and see what they can do.

Mail in tune

To be honest though, a Ford dealership isn't going to have staff knowledgeable in the intricacies of a Mitsubishi. Hell, even the Evo certified Techs at Mitsubishi have a hard time around the car (my experience with them). Taking the car to a shop that at least regularly works on Evos is going to be your best bet by far. Another option for getting a tune would be a mail in flash from the guy that tuned me, Big Al.

http://www.dynoflash.com/indttm.htm

I brought my car to him myself, but I had a friend with a IX with the mail in tune, and that's how I found out about him. Great guy, and good results. Just compile a list of the current mods.
