cold start idle problem
I'm using oem plugs with spool in up coil packs, well i did a full leak down test, boost leak, and compression and replaced the iacv nothing has helped yet, I'm going to test the injectors monday
Your issue sounds like a dying fuel pump. I've had pumps die on me and had very similar symptoms. Fuel pump oring problem. Check the fuel pressure, on cold start up if you can.
And you ruled out the IAC, which would also pull this.
Have you done a boost leak test? This is a must every oil change.
I haven't really heard any failing on the evos but the BISS(idle screw on top on throttle body) has an oring on it that can fail.
But I also wouldn't overlook the tune, I've read a few threads where the car
was on SD and act like that on cold startup especially in the winter.
But still every car is different.

yea did a boost leak test yesterday i have a small one coming from the throttle body seal, next step is to test the fuel system, my tuner has tuned a ton of speed density setups and none of them have problems
Interesting, like I said this could be a dying fuel pump, may be injectors are giving up (but you don't have any prob when car is at NOT so I'd ommitt this doubt), plugs gap/heat range (but you've already verified), could be tuning issue, may be resistor pack? (But this will be my last bet)
Have u cleaned up ur TB and iacv? Do u have any cel?
