The over-40 Evo thread
52 years young and loving the Evo......first awd car and turbo and I must say it handles much better than my 75' Corvette did with Koni's. It's nice to see there is so many of us out here but I must say I never see you on the road just the young kids. How nice would it be to have an old guys meet?
one downside is having little kids pull up and try to race you in residential streets. been there and done that in early college days.
is it just me or are you guys done too with light to light races? they always seem disappointed when you dont take off from the light, lol. I honestly dont trust their driving becuase if they hurt somone or themselves I would get into trouble too plus I don't want to risk insurance going up.

I bought my first evo from a guy who was in his mid 50's. He loved the car and used it as a daily driver. I also see a elderly guy rolling around by my work in an evo 8. Pretty cool!

LOL. Light to light.......eh Depends on the victim. If its a Honda or SRT 4 or something that won't be worth the time from a dig then.....meh! If its a M3/M5/Porsche/Ferrari/Vette/Viper/Mustang..........I'm always down to hurt someones feelings.
46 and just stepped into NASA TT action with my Evo after doing two years of DE's. There is just something about an Evo on the track, 'tossable' is the best word I can come up with. Still very moderately modded, but about to get heavily stripped and caged before long.
However, from a roll ... it's ON!

Heh! My bad ... must be getting old or something ... momentarily forgot about the whole setting an example for the yutes thing.
Then again, I'm part of the "If it's too loud, you're too old generation" and based on that mantra I'm barely in my teens.
