I qualified more than a few years ago.

My Evo is an extensively modified 2003. It has 13,xxx original miles. Not a daily, for sure.

Here's a pic from several years ago, but I've changed it a bunch since then. The ARC intercooler was the first to go when I bought the car.

Here in Colorado there are a lot of very well built cars owned and modified by the 40+ crowd.

Turned 43 last month. Bought my Rally Red EVO in June of 04 two days after returning from IRAQ. Finally broke 9K miles last summer, definately not a daily driver! Still has that new car smell. I keep thinking about selling it, but thats been going of for 4 years now.

Am I the oldest?

My nephew alerted me to this thread. I just turned 66 and love it when the cops pull up to me and do a double take!
They expect to see a young kid at the wheel hoping they can pull him over for something.
Moderately modded, this is the 6th year I've been tracking my IX, tied for the longest, last was a Nissan NX2000. It still pushes all the right buttons and has been super reliable.
I'm also an instructor for NASA northeast and love bringing the new guys up to speed safely. Nothing like a huge ear-to-ear grin all day from a new student to make my day!

From the same mold I guess, 2004 Evo and prior to that a 91 Nissan SE-R. It rocked! Everything except a turbo and loved the milage and the performance. Loved the reworked suspension I dropped in it.
Love it when the cops pull me over and find out I could be their dad. Stops them dead in their tracks--not a ticket yet. LOL.
Kudo's to you!

I also qualify....57.....I bought the 05 MR in 2006 with 4500 on it.

Story is I wanted a 2003 Z06 but could not find the yellow/oak combo i wanted so i started looking at subies and then Evo's. Drove a RR RS locally here in Atlanta and HAD to have an EVO after the test drive.

I found mine on the far side of Oklahoma. Wanted an adventure so I rode Greyhound from Atlanta to Edmond OK. Picked up the Evo and drove it back 1500 miles to Atlanta. Some of the local SCCA guys knew I had gotten one so I parked it and had a big unveil the next morning. Used the Mitsu car cover the MR came with. Popped champagne and had great time.

It is lightly modded but well setup ( see sig below ex SCCA Nats autoxer) but I did swap in a IX interior so it has the silver and black thing going on all over.

My .02c on the car club name Old GUYZ EVO RIDEZ

Motto: too fat, cant see, cant hear, too slow ...oh but all you can see is my taillights

hey i make the cut. 46 here.
3 evo owner. picked up a silver 03 when they first hit the states. then swapped that for an 06 mr which turned into a mostly track car and finally bought a 08 for a DD.

03 with about 700 miles on it. couldn't wait to get it on the track.

06 after a couple mods...

and the 08 while the race car was being rebuilt
