vibrant silicone -same as STM I believe... buts that's more recent... usually what ever Adance carries... never had an issue.

Water feed line from several old toilets. Car runs like sh*t.

Would steel braided vacuum lines be a little over the top?

why not? I use it for the boost/vac gauge and when experimenting with the boost control lines. no problems here. its cheap, looks nice(especially the 'prestone' ones) and stronger than the OE ones

He says that because most likely it is not designed for high vac and pressure levels which most vac hoses are for, meaning in comparison it won't reach the same type of performance of actual vac hose.... there are differences, will they reflect to the level which you will be using it for... maybe not, but just general information.

Thanks for all the replies gentleman!

After a bunch of research I decided to buy a bunch of hose from BoostControllers.com

It is 4mm "MAGNUM" hose, and is astronomically thick (3.2mm wall), but yet just as pliable as standard hose.

Yes I got 40 feet of it, lol:

At only $1.07 a foot, it is really hard to beat.

thanks. I read that as way over estimating is always better. its like building a show car that one plans to keep forever but sells it a year later
I dont even clamp my boost control lines anymore and it still works fine. at 25+ psi my intake hose has a very very high chance of popping to tell you the truth

I just got 15feet from siliconeintakes.com....It's too fat to tie it down at the gm 3 port.

Will I be ok not clamping it down or are there thin clamps? I want to avoid the zip ties

I used this http://www.ebay.com/itm/121044166967...84.m1439.l2649 its 5mm ID just as the injen silicone hose replacement for the BOV and it works great and cheap too 5 bucks for 8 feet. Also if you are looking for OEM type clamps instead of using zipties get these http://www.ebay.com/itm/370455712524...84.m1439.l2649 its 7/16 and fits stock hoses perfect.
