Bov suppose open a little when idleing??

Since I can't see the inside of my stock IX BOV, but I figure my agency power 50/50 Bov open a little when the car sitting on idle, but will close fully when step on gas!
Is that normal??

It is when your using too light of a spring in the bov....unless your on speed density, it will cause drivability issues

May I recommend the pills that make your body smaller for very brief lapses of time. This is what I took when I wanted to climb around inside the BCS on my Evo. The reductive effect does not last very long however. So, you need to accomplish whatever it is that you are gonna do inside your stock DV in a hurry.

BOVs should be open at idle since the manifold has negative pressure/vacuum

No they shouldnt, thats why they use a spring. Its to keep them shut at idle

Is your BOV on a lone vacuum source? Don't T off your BOV vacuum line to other things, nothing else should get vacuum from the line for your BOV.

The spring inside the BOV is there to help keep it closed under boost. It's ok for it to be open a little at idle. If the spring is to tight you will get the part throttle shudder from the BOV.

Your fine my friend no worries.

Ya know. If you stop calling it a "blow-off valve," you'll get less confused about how it works. Just sayin'.

WRONG.

Vacuum is what keeps it closed. If your valve is open at idle, then your valve is either damaged, or the spring isn't stiff enough.
