i would really love to have black headlight housings and im not skilled enough to do them on my own and def not spending 1600 for a set.
i came across these ebay ones and thought they looked pretty darn good from the picture but i was wondering if anyone has them and maybe they can post up a few pictures?
if anyone knows of a place to buy evo 8/9 black headlight housings that are reasonably priced, please post up a link here thanks!

i just watched the video on youtube, my only issue with them one they dont come as a complete headlight you need to take yours apart to do. Second the wiring isnt complicated based on the video, however the switch you use to toggle from parking light to turning your headlights on is mounted in the headlight not in the cabin. Third your headlight switch on the steering column isnt used to turn them on. They look cool, but if you wanna get out your car to turn them on thats you.
im new to the evos but i have headlights that move up and down with a switch i have an SSL. if i got these headlights would i still be able to adjust? if not i wont get them but i would really like to have black housings, where can i have this done?

Of course you can just connect the halos to your headlight switch and as for black housing you can paint it yourself just like on the vid
Probably wouldn't be too difficult to add some more wires and route the switch to the cabin. I've done that with some stereo components in other cars without a problem. Not sure if there is something more complex behind this wiring system that would make it difficult...
They really do look pretty awesome.... A lot of money for no HP gain though
that's my personal goal now.
If you do go through with it definitely post some pics! Im curious on more angles also. Maybe email the seller for more?

I did this about 3 years ago, opened the lights and painted the insides black, fitted the halo kit which was supplied by the above company. Splitting and painting the lights is no big deal, fitting the halo kit just takes patience.
They're now disconnected after the failure of two of the modules which power them ( 6 in total ). I replaced the first with a part from ebay, but when they fail, they blow the fuse, and that takes out the sidelight completely on that side ( front and rear obviously ) until it's replaced. I just got tired of checking to see if they were working.
Mine were switched on from the factory headlamp switch in the car to come on with the sidelights, never heard of this business of getting out to turn them on! They look great when they're working, but mine ( imported from the States to the UK ) were expensive.
Edited to add, you simply connect the halo wiring to your sidelight wiring behind the headlight, it's very simple.
