This is what Allstate wants to charge me for EVO insurance
I went by the local Allstate office to get a quote since I'm curious to see how much coverage for me would be.
I got a quote of $1300 every 6 months for both my 99 Civic sedan and a 04 Evo 8.
The Civic Sedan has only liability coverage, where as the EVO will have full coverage with a $1000 deductible.
What do you guys think? $1300 every 6 months, or $227.10/mo or so for both cars?

Did you go through Geico or Progressive's quote system to get another price?

One additional detail I forgeot to mention was that i told my insurance company that I am financing the EVO. They told me that the max deductible I can use is $1000, whereas before I asked them I thought it was $500.
If I were to buy the EVO straight out cash, I could even put up a $2000 deductible on Full coverage.....(I saw a tab on the ladys computer screen for $2000 a deductible)

I know location and age are main factors for insurance premiums. I called around for price quotes last year, and I found that Erie Insurance and Liberty Mutual were by far the cheapest when comparing to known names.
BTW, your quote doesn't seem bad.

thats great.... wanna hear something funny?
If I were to sell the Civic and just have Full coverage on the EVO, then my 6 month premium with a $1000 deductible would be $1850...thats just for one car!!!!!! So the conclusion is, I'd better keep the Civic as my daily driver (with the EVO as my weekend brawler), since its paid off...and save $$$$$, I guess thats where the multi-car discount applies
You can save a lot by going away from the big names. There are some nice loopholes for insurance companies that allow new insurance companies to offer insanely low rates, at least for a year or two. If you're really looking for a good deal, start calling companies like Erie, Farmers, Hartford, Liberty Mutual, etc.
Personally, I'm with All State right now because they're competetive with (if not cheaper than) Progressive and Geico, and having both cars insured with them lowers my renter's insurance as well. Another benefit is that your local agent is a lot more interested in helping you than the ****stains at a call center somewhere in timbuktu, which is who you'll deal with if you have progressive/geico.

I have Nationwide Insurance in Dallas and am 29 years old with a clean record. I pay $103 a month with full coverage $250 deductible and Dallas is supposed to be one of the higher rate cities.
sad to say that i also have allstate and rate is $432.00 for 6 months,100k/300k liabilty,500 ded.for collision, and 0 ded.for compressive, and that is alot more than my 03 sequoia which with the same coverage is 326.00 for 6 months, although i also have my home owners insurance with allstate, clean driving record(for now),and am over 25
