This is what Allstate wants to charge me for EVO insurance
Our family has the "Charlie Brown" syndrome... 9 accidents and 1 theft - none at fault. So I have some experience with claims. My experience is Gieco is good with claims but the rates suck sometimes and for some reason we couldn't gget rental car caverage (with 6 accidents before we switched, that became quite a hassle) Century 21 is the **** - they have the best coverage, real low rates and thanks to a loop-hole (I have my name on a lease not at home) I pay rates for a 42 year old with a clean record (my mom) my premiums went from $1100 for 6 months to $345 (for the civic). I'm pretty happy about that.

clean record
Evo is the only car I own.
State Farm Insurance
$1020ish for 6 months
It just went up when I renewed because now the car is actually listed as an Evo not just a Lancer. Oh well, it was only a matter of time before they became aware.
PS - I don't have any other insurance with State Farm so I'm sure that might make a difference.

they use VIN numbers to see what kind of car you drive. Not, "hey i drive a lancer."

yeah you are right, in most cases. when i was looking for insurance two companies, cant recall right now, had only lancer listed. and one company could not even verify my vin #, was getting error message

I have allstate, i'm 20yo w/no accidents or tickets, and for my 03' Evo 8 I pay $515 every 6 months. I used to own a 02' RSX type S, that was more expensive to insure, My agent said its because the evo is considered a sedan, not a sport coupe like the rsx. $1300 for 2 cars seems high. oh yeah.....and i have full coverage, my deductable is $500.
