Need some info. on NJ insurance....
my policy is going to end soon with Allstate insurance.
Right now, I'm stll under my parents policy...
Once my policy is up, that will be my 3rd year accident/ticket free...
I'm thinking of going to NJ Manufacturers b/c i heard its cheap and reasonable...
My ? is: for those of you 25 and under, and on your own policy, what are some good cheap companies with reasonable rates? and what do you pay every month/6 months? thanks

NJM is good if you can get in with mother NJM and not Re-insurance company. They put me into Re-insurance and I never got any money back at the end of the year.
Switched to Geico and saved a bunch of money.
NJM has a pain in the @ss process of renewing your policy and you can't pay by credit card. Also, even though they are like 15mins away from me, my checked normally travelled to them for over a week (?!) and communication was generally really slow.
No web tools - major thumbs down.
I didn't like the wait on the phone whenever I had to call but they were polite.
One more thing I didn't like and what really made me switch was that when I bought another car and dropped it to liability only, they downgraded me from safe tier to standard tier (making my policy more expensive). They told me I can't have a car on liability and be in safe tier (?!?!!??!).
So I switched to Geico and save over $700/year (and this is the amount prior to policy price increase).
Since I have my homeowners with Allstate I'll look into getting a parallel quote but I doubt I'll be much better than what I currently have.
If I was you, I'd call all of them up, give them your info and see who comes down with the lowest price. Make sure you give them identical numbers for the amount of insurance.
Oh, and one more thing... it doesn't matter what others are paying, it depends on the zip code where you live, where you store your car, how much you drive it, where to, if you have security systems, how's your driving record, how long you have your license for, if you're from the moon or another planet etc. etc. etc. so don't bother knowing how much others are paying, that information is worthless.

I have Allstate now, almost all of my friends have NJM and they all pay significantly more than I do, even with Allstate! My family is switching to Geico after our policy is up.... we got a quote for almost $1600 cheaper a year!
