Help building evo 8

Hi guys I'm currently deploy and saving money to build my 2003 evo 8. I have done a lot of research but I want people opinion on my setup. Currently mods on car BR TBE 3", intake, spoolin up cop, megan header, mbc, act clutch kit custom IC. My goals are 500-550whp something around. I love drag racing, so you know what is car for also dd. Also my budget is $8k-10k. I'll appreciate the help guys. Oh and 91 oct with probably meth cause there is only 1 gas station that sales e85 and is far from my house in el paso but if when I go back there is more than 1 it will be e85. I already know that I want the maperformance 2.3 or 2.0 stage 1 shortblock, which setup is better for drag?

While I'm sure many people will have an idea of what you should and shouldn't be doing... I would probably suggest talking to a reputable tuner about your goals, and have them tailor a package to meet those goals.

In your case... since you mentioned it... perhaps try inquiring with MAP...

If you like a car that pulls hard on the street and does well on the drag strip, I'd do MAPs 2.4L and a FP Black if you want to keep a stock appearing turbo. Forget the Megan manifold too.

Oh yeah that came with the car and I know that that is a good bye to that header I was thinking on a pte 6262 or the black like you said

If you go with a T3 setup, a HTA 3582 is about the best for spool and power on pump while getting close to your power goals. Meth on top will do it easy.

If you want a all out Drag Car 2.0l is the way to go you can take it to higher rpm. or you can look in to the buschur br 2.3lrpm motor. best of both worlds. Also if no need to go black just get a fp bbred. if you want to go that route. also lose the manfold and go back to stock and port it the megan is junk. they like to crack.
