Evo IX Trans fluid, whats the best to use?

So, I went to pick up some Daiqueen oil from Mitsubishi today for my trans, diff, and transfer case oil change. The diff and Transfer case use the same oil for $50, ok. Well the transmission oil is $145...... Must be some good oil. I'm curious of what others are using and wonder if there's an trans oil out there that everybody prefers more than OEM. Thanks guys

I prefer oem as i find other fluids dont perform as well imo. Lots of other people use anything from amsoil to BG synchroshift 2.

yea really, I could not justify spending over 100 bucks for a gallon of fluid when 3 qts. of Amsoil MTG is all thats needed.. I did the searches and it get great reviews..

Oh yaa.. Amsoil for the diff and t-case also..

I use Motul Gear300 75w90 in my transmission and also use it in all the GTR's I build as well. Don't see many using it on this forum but it is race protection proven, never failed me yet in 10+yrs and cost about $19 a quart online.

Motul gear 300 trans
Motul ff LSD type 1 for TC
Motul competition gear diff

You're going to get a lot of answers here, the majority will be oem, amsoil or redline. Each one depends on the owner and what they're situation is. I chose Motul because of availability, product support and brand quality.

That said, any of the brands I mentioned earlier will be fine choices.

I've used synchromesh in by trans for well over 100k. I would use anything else if it was free

I used diaqueen for the first change. felt like it did before i changed it

i used amsoil for the second, IMO its a bit better than stock, nothing super-drastic though.

next change i'm going to either syncromesh or redline (dunno if it'll be a cocktail or not)

OEM is definitely the most expensive, IMO amsoil (so far because i've only used OEM and amsoil) is a better value-for-the-money
