help Evo8 wont start
Stock 2004 viii with aem intake, evo 9 bov, and 255 fuel pump. About a week ago I removed a ghetto alarm that the previous owner had installed. When doing so I found the black with yellow wire coming from the ignition harness had a relay spliced into it hanging just below the steering column. I also noticed the the white with black stripe wire had a relay spliced into it. I left those relays in because I couldnt determine if they were supposed to be there or not. They dont look stock. Anyways I drove the car fine for the last week. I buy a evo9 bov and install it. The next day I go to start the car and it starts but dies after maybe 2 sec. I noticed that I dont hear the fuel pump anymore so I pulled the back seat. with a test light and the key in the on position I found power in one of the harness plugs on the fuel pump. The car cranks but never starts now. No noise from the pump. I looked around to see if anything was not hooked back up with the bov install. everything is hookled up. I saw that the cam position sensor was cracked so I replaced it but still no start. Where do I start to look from here? are the relays hanging under my steering column supposed to be there? black wire with yellow stripe on the ignition harness supposed to have a relay spliced into it? please help........suggestions.......

check fuses easy thing the do. check the fuses under the dash and underhood make sure all wires are conneted the way they came form factory. and relays should be in the box or in a mounting location not just hanging off wires.
Without pictures it's hard to say but going off what you've said here's my $.02. Most relays involving alarms and ignition wires would be for a starter kill. It usual involves cutting the starter wire in half and when the system arms disconnecting the two with the relay. That being said if the starter turns the relay is not the problem, look elsewhere.
Where do you suggest I look. Ive looked for a vacume leak and cant find one. Should I pull the Bov back out and check for anything I might of knocked loose under the intake? Would it matter if I didnt reset the ecu after install?
Take the relays connected to the ignition harness off, they're part of the starter kill portion of the alarm. Reconnect the the all associated wires in the ignition harness back together.
